Senior Thesis

This is my Senior Thesis which i showed at the Seerveld Gallery at Trinity Christian College.

The message is simple, with a more profound discussion to be had amongst the audience. If God created intelligent humans, and we in-turn create artificial intelligence, are we not also creators? Can a creation ever succeed its creator? We will never surpass God, but can A.I. surpass us? How can a creation become higher than its creator? Why can we never reach the highs of God, yet A.I. can reach the highs of humans?

This was installed on March 23 2019 in the Seerveld Gallery at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL.

A projector was installed on the ceiling to prevent the projector from being covered by passerby’s in the gallery. The wall projection was covered with black, light-absorbing, Gaft tape to give a border and increase viewing contrast. A sound Bubble was also installed over-head to project sound created by myself. The sound was a looping ambient track created in Adobe Audition.

When i was thinking through my concept for Creator, among many others, I quickly sketched this idea I had of a hierarchy of creators… however, this would be the drawing I eventually chose to adapt for my Senior Thesis.
